October 2, 2010Italian news blog Musica Metal conducted an interview with KORN drummer Ray Luzier when he took part in a drum clinic on September 21 in Busto Arsizio (VA),Italy. You can now watch the chat — which touches on such topics as the joys of teaching, his status as the "ex-drum slut" of Los Angeles who is now "married" to KORN, and his move to Hollywood from his hometown of Pittsburgh — below.
Photos of the drum clinic are available on Musica Metal. Also available are pictures of KORN's September 22, 2010 concert in Milan as the support act for OZZY OSBOURNE.
KORN made a deliberate return to its musical roots on its latest album, "Korn III - Remember Who You Are", which arrived on July 13 and follows up 2007's untitled eighth studio album. The band even recruited old friend and producer Ross Robinson, who worked on the band's 1994 debut and 1996's "Life Is Peachy", to produce the new record.
"Remember Who You Are" is the band's first album with independent label Roadrunner Records after a two-record stint with EMI Music.
The first single and video from the album is called "Oildale (Leave Me Alone)". The clip was shot in the downtrodden California town of Oildale, near where KORN was formed in Bakersfield.
